Defining the naturally active composition of the cranberry seed oil

Cranberry seed oils is packed with Omegas, Essential Fatty Acids and Vitamines.

Omega's & EFA's

    • Are part of essentially fats. There are many type of fats, good and bad for your health. Omega's are a family (also known as Omega 3, 6 and 9) of essential fatty acids (EFAs).
    • Provides 70% EFA profile, one of the highest and most potent on the market including a uniquely balanced profile of Omega 3,6 and 9 (including, phosphatidylserine, beta-sitosterol, phospholipids)
    • The body does not create EFAs but does require these. By applying the cranberry oil, pact with Omega 3, 6 and 9 it provides a key solution for rebalancing your bodies need for these EFA's in your skin. Your skin is your first line of defence, it protects you from outside influences. Omega's play a key role in a healthy skin. Taking care of your skin is taking care of your body, your Pericarp.

Vitamin E & A

    • Both known to play a key role in your skin's overall health.
    • Tocopherols and Tocotrienols, are compounds and form together the 'Vitamin E', it is also active as antioxidant. In the market many different formats are present, from natural or synthetic sources based on a different structure of multi or single tocopherol and tocotrienol combinations.
    • The truth is that any type of vitamin is absorbed better from within, it plays a key role to your overall diet and wellbeing. When Vitamins are active in skincare products, we are talking about topical application and benefits, supportive and not replacive to this healthy diet. The good thing is that nature provides beauty for within and out. Pericarp believes that the active composition in the cranberry oil of its Vitamin E: tocopherols and tocotrienols combination form a benefit to the skin as its from natural sources, which are more effective as cofactor to an enzyme, allowing for a better absorption in your body when applied onto the skin rather than a synthetic Vitamin E.
    • Carotenoids, are also referred as pigment of the berry, and are the source of the colour, helps absorbing light through photosynthesis. Beta-carotene is also referred as a precursor of vitamin A, commonly part of your diet and also plays a key in your overall skin's health.
    • In full transparency, market research on how EFA's, Vitamin E and A are playing a role, with regards to topical application and their potential benefits in areas of cell regeneration, anti-aging, overall skin protection, elasticity and hydration are under ongoing reviews by the EFSA. Until their official confirmation on different topics, we are not able to directly establish a relationship between key benefits and the active ingredients.

We are able to claim that the cranberry oil is beneficial to the overall skin's health and that the cranberry oil helps to prevent stretching of the skin, because of its natural composition. We will keep updated on any further developments in this area of research.
